Karl Douglas has served as Managing Director of Terra Nova's Energy practice since 2006. In 2006 Mr. Douglas co-founded US Coal Corporation.  As co-founder, Mr. Douglas structured various transactions to raise over $40,000,000 of equity, and $25,000,000 of debt to acquire two regional coal producers.  The resulting company has grown over 500% in EBITDA and production.  Over the last twenty years Mr. Douglas has been an advisor to many companies in both the public and private sectors.  He has assisted in development of financing strategies, development of management teams, and served various directorships and officer roles.  Mr. Douglas' career spans many years on Wall Street, including officer level positions at Integrated Resources, Salomon Brother, Bear Stearns, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch.  Mr. Douglas graduated from Princeton University.
