TerraNova was formed in 1999 and is headed up by John Steinmetz, a 20+ year Wall Street veteran, who previously founded and served as Senior Managing Director of Spencer Trask Securities, an innovative private equity firm that funded numerous private companies during the 1990's including Myriad Genetics and Ciena Corporation.
John has instilled a "won't quit" attitude in the entire TerraNova organization, which has resulted in many successfull investment banking assignments. Our approach emphasizes an in-depth understanding of every client's operational circumstances and financial requirements, specific industry knowledge and analysis, and direct relationships with our investors to ensure an ideal fit between our client companies and our investor base.

Funds
Investors in the TerraNova Explorer Fund are the partners and principals of TerraNova Capital Partners, our advisory board, outside financial and business professionals: CEO's, CFO's, COO's, CTO's, Angels and serial entrepreneurs. The objective of the fund is to invest in long term projects where the TerraNova Team can add value, increasing the growth of the portfolio's equity. The fund will make debt and equity investments of $50,000 to $1,000,000 in public and private companies.
